The Internet contains a wealth of information but what you seek is often difficult to find. It's a vast network of computers, databases, files, and documents. There are over one billion websites on the Internet. Add to this the fact that a high percentage of the information is not useful. You need a way to find what you need quickly.

These materials shows you how to do advanced searching to display more of the information you need and less of the useless. Limiting your searches to certain websites is a huge time saver if you know the websites that are likely to contain the information you seek. We'll show you examples of sites that are repositories for massive amounts of information, such as government data.

We'll focus on Google searches but will also cover alternatives.
